Food rationing in America while the government pays farmers to cut back on growing wheat and corn for consumption. Gas $10 a gallon predicted by end on summer by some. People, beginning to panic, are stockpiling food...and Americans in their arrogance thought they were too special to face starvation like those sand niggers their government kills in third world countries. The clock is ticking and it ticks for thee.

All crises are orchestrated to enrich the wealthy few.

It is very unlikely we will come to food rationing in America. We will simply take land out of government conservation programs and start planting. Prices, however, may skyrocket because of the "gas" cost for the tractors, truckers, and manufactures.

It's the countries we ship food to that will be in bad shape if we can't afford to send them food because of gas prices and because we keep it all here.

The end user determines the gas prices....you buy it...price goes up...you don't buy it gas prices come down. The government has no control over commodities. The prospective presidential candidates can do nothing about the cost of oil...nothing. They are lying.

Oil is an underground resource...therefore it is owned by relatively few people (who do not share the profits. In the main (not all) these countries are the poorest nations. America's, and in fact most of the western world has it's resources above ground (it's people) and therefore the resources are owned by the majority.

Oil companies (of which the middle class in America has portfolios with their shares) are doing very well. Which is why middle America will continue to pay exorbitant fees. Exon or any other major player can simply order any pipeline around the world attacked and immediately hike prices.

The way forward, ultimately, will be to find energy in growing algae, not wheat. Oil companies know that their market is declining and will continue to do so over the next ten years. Yes, gas will be $10 a gallon sooner than later if we cannot cope with leaving our cars in the garage. One day boycotts are useless. I have great fun meeting my neighbors and discussing and now implementing joint travel. We hire a driver and a van twice a week to take us into the city. Cost: Driver $100 gas @100. We have no public transport. The real benefit is that I now have eleven new friends, all of whom I have only nodded to in the past.

You've patiently educated me, Erl. I consider you a twelfth.

It has fast becoming a horrific (and tragedy)of injustice and manipulation.

Is there really no statesman out there willing to come forward at this late juncture?

My dream team, just so I'm not ducking any issues myself, looking at possible candidates, would be Joe Biden (Great international resume) with Colin Powell (purple heart) on the ticket.

Hard as it maybe for you, Erl, any ideas? (anyone like to add suggestions?)

uhm doubts the gas will go that high, the government won't stand for it. They'll open the reserves and force the crunch to come to a halt to put a stop to the greed of these companies.

They're losing money in the middle east because of war, that;s why its so high. They don't want to risk their people that are not even in any danger if in kuwait and others outside of the combat zone.

The are using this as an excuse to scalp the US for their losses and the government should intervene.

Food prices are affected by gas and the tractors however diesel is one of the longest running and best fuel effcient fuels to run on they can go longer than plain gas, however its a serious pollutant. I doubt that is the reason why food is so high... its all these problems with disease in food (mad cow) and other shit they are finding because of other pollutant factors affecting the animals and vegetables we eat.

Show me the facts... I'll believe them, but don't start a stupid rumor or panic over nonsense.
