Hi everyone, it's been a while since I've been here - good to see there are still a few familiar faces out there.

My question for you is, Do you blog? If so, is it on an open website where anyone can read it or is it more your personal diary? If it is an open website to do you use your writing talents to mix fiction with facts?

Sorry, a lot of questions there. Hope you can help me out.

Pitterpat

hey pitterpat!

I believe that blogging is like an open diary on a website.

anyone can read what you submit online. some people like to
use blogs to vent their frustrations, or points of view
to invisible people who may or may not read their
"masterpiece"...more like ramble at midnight...most often
that's when people probably do this sort of stuff.

I don't do it because you never know who is reading this stuff.

So, a blog is a fancy word for diary ...or a lot of words
that express nothing at all...just a vent space...

thank you

and have a nice day!

Hi Pitterpat!

Nice to see you again !

I blog like a crazy woman :D. My main blog, then just copy and paste to other sites because I'm lazy ;\) :D, is a 360 page. Boston's Home Page .

For me, because I'm more emotional than physical, it's a diary of the ups and downs of my stupid life. I don't care about how reads it or not because it's more for me than anyone. And if someone has been where I'm at and can offer a word or two of advice, fantastic. Or if I could help one person out there going through a difficult time, all the better.

I do put up my writings on it. Every Wednesday a group of us get together and put on a Poetry Wednesday reading day. We put up a poem of our own or display some of the great poetry written by the Masters of the art. More people are active on Multiply than on Yahoo. But it's great fun for all. (Down side of that. People think you're better than you are ;).)

A friend of mine and I debate if blogging is writing. He feels journal writing isn't really writing. I think it because you're still having to use what you got to make people understand where you're coming from. Though, usually, when I'm throwing a temper tantrum that's the furtherest thought in my head :D.

Some days I really don't know what I would do if I couldn't blog. It's a great way to release any negativity and get a reaction from people. Complete strangers still have kindness in them, you just have to find one.

Hope that helped!

Thank you both for your replies. I am debating on whether to blog on a sight I joy called EONS. Actually I had started a blog a while back but got bored and it didn't go anywhere. My thoughts last night were to make myself a writing challenge out of it trying to incorporate skill, imagination, and my life. Lori, it sounds like you enjoy blogging, think I'll give it another try.

I really do. Too much sometimes (hehe!). But, in a way, it helps keep ME sane. For that I'll thank my lucky stars and move on .

Good luck in your new adventure!

Ladies, how nice to see your names again. I wondered what has become of everyone we used to see here. What are you working on presently?

Hi Maureen,

It is nice to see there are still familiar faces here. Timster and I have been busy planting and preparing for spring. As for writing, I'm ashamed to say neither of us have done much recently.

What are you working on? Any new books?

Pat

I have a new book coming out in a month of two. This one is "Road to Reconciliation", coming to God, and estranged family members who reconcile. "Hi" to Tim.

Hi there, Pitters...and Timster,

Good to see you back on Nicestories. Be good to see the Timster back writing.

Good news that Maureen is releasing a new book (Keep us informed, Maureen.)

I don't blog, personally, but can see the benefits.

Cyrano

Maureen, congrats on your new book! That is fantastic.

I've been stuck on poetry. I finally got the Muse to stop all that and then she just dried up all together :o( (hehe!). I'm trying to coax her back out now, but she's playing hard to get.

Hope to see you on my bookshelves soon!
