That sounds simple enough. Like Chjarmbrights said, I too prefer feedback. And I think by allowing public feed back to be posted, one will get more responses. Your friend may have already incorporated that, but if not, I'd suggest it.

Of course there will be feedback. I think feedback is the lifeblood of the authors at these sites. A little cash is nice, too. \:\)

Given the choice, most of us would prefer cash to feedback, I think.

I think that may depend on the amount of cash.

OK. How much is the average item of feedback (most of which say nothing useful) worth?

By "nothing useful" I mean "I loved/hated it" messages.

I'm sure that most sites wouldn't be in a position to pay anything like a minimum wage for the time and effort that most authors put in to writing their stories here. My point was that money is not the driving factor. Since I don't think I'd be able to make an amount I'd feel worth while, I have personally preferred the feedback, good, bad (constructively critical rather than rude) and suggestive in a misguided way.
In my case I'd find it difficult to take a small amount of money paid to me from a source like this and feed it into my normal existence without it leaving trails I'd have to explain.
So to me it really would depend on the amount of cash.

I don't make a living from my ebook sales, not even close, but it is a nice help and more than just pocket change. Even someone buying a short for 99 cents (of which I get about 38 cents) on Amazon makes me feel good because it means someone chose to reach into their wallet for me. But I also enjoy feedback. It's nice to get both.

Ask yourself next time you watch a movie sequel - "Was it worth it?'

There's your answer. ;-)
