Writing one handed... I'm a guy, and the proximity of the other hand to the keyboard would result in nothing less than a keystroke blunder.

Taking time out to masturbate while writing... Hmm... Seems counter productive, doesn't it? However, I must admit that I have had trouble ignoring my throbbing pulse as it surges through my veins, causing the involuntary flexing of one's loins, which in turn causes one's cock to lurch about, making it somewhat difficult to create accurate keys strokes upon my unsteady laptop.

I can't deny that the product of my erotic writing is often a self-induced state of arousal, to which my wife is often a benefactor. Of course, pleasure is almost always a two way street, for a man anyways, so I too am a benefactor of my creativity. So no I don't masturbate during, after or at all for that matter. I much prefer the sharing of my erection, and my wife is never far away.

An expansion to your line of questioning seems appropriate, so if I may? \:\)

When you write erotic stories do you take breaks to enjoy sex with your partner?

If so, are your actions a reflection of your characters, in tune with the rhythm of your story?

Or, does your writing inspire a more animalistic approach of reckless abandon?

My philosophy on sex is that there is an ideal balance between the activities that build tension and those that release it. And that there is an art to pushing either of those to an extreme before allowing the pendulum to swing back the other way.

I've only published one story, but I have about ten of them written. And I find that reading and writing and talking about sex counts as the building tension sort of activity. So when I read or write or talk about sex, I prefer not to do any releasing actions at that time, but to let things slide to one extreme on the scale so that they can snap back more forcefully later.

The latter. Writing is a complex art, and it is difficult enough concentrating on situation and characters and grammar and wordsmithing and story telling all at once without actually "inwardly digesting" the material at the same time.

No - if the writing is flowing, nothing is allowed to interrupt it. If I am having problems with the writing I'm in no mood for play.

I can be aroused and passionate about my writing without it turning me on sexually.

Anyone reading their own work after an appreciable amount of time has passed will be surprised by what they wrote. When I read things I wrote years ago (erotic or technical) I sometimes wonder what sort of fool I used to be.
