I've pretty much had to go into lurked mode myself. Busier, more confusing and stressful summer for me than in years and years. I have pulled back on a lot of things trying to shore up a better foundation for the future. Both near and long range.
What we really need is some more traffic and new people with questions. Also we have all gravitated down to this one forum, and pretty much jumbled up the thread use.
That aggrivates old and new hands alike on ANY server. We are losing a good mechanic from an auto thread for just those very reasons. A rude comment was mistakenly pointed in his direction for suggesting a 'stupid' solution.
He reads in Digest mode, and since no one trims their replies at ALL the multiple mech failures in thread got jumbled up.
Lurk = Yes
Abandonment = No
At least in my humble opinion.
