You can only ever define yourself as normal till you have something else to compare yourself against. In the case of blokes equipment then there is the shower room at school, but that isn't much good for comparison because a) you don't look. & b) after swimming in a cold pool even John Holmes would probably have looked tiny. Except for the pool changing room, but they were private showers there, like you would see in a college dorm. (The first little room with a bench and hooks to put your stuff on, then the second little room on the other side of the curtain has the shower.) There were no showers for regular gym.
