The theory is that they have a tendency to choose mates who would make good mates and be good at helping raise their children during most of their cycle but are inclined to choose men who would make good sires for their children when at their most fertile. I guess this partially explains the the age old frustration that many men feel that women are perpetually telling them one thing about what they like and then they go and get off with complete bastards. Interesting stuff about the cycle and birth control. I avoid any scented products, and whatever I use I make sure I rinse it off thoroughly. (I don't like residues of things on me.) So there are no perfumes getting in the way of the natural scents.

Mr. T has also had all of his tests done. To me, responsiblity and safety is sexy. However, I'm so worried about getting pregnant, I'm taking pills AND using condoms. When the midwife and I discussed what would happen if I transferred to the hospital, she said that without having a negative HIV test on file, the hospital wouldn't let me nurse the baby after he was born. And without a negative test for gonorrhea and chlamydia, they would fight me a lot harder about me not wanting to give him the antibiotic eye drops at birth. At that point, being tested was more of an annoyance than anything. I knew neither of us had ever been with anyone else. We were a closed system.
