Surely it is so we can change the batteries in you favourite vibrator when they go flat.
Mind, I remember one girl friend complaining the batteries had gone flat in her vibrator (she rang me at work to ask if I'd come around that evening to see her because the batteries were flat - I think she wanted something ) Later I took her out for a ice cream and noticed the right sized batteries behind the counter. So I did the gentlemanly thing and bought her a couple of sets. Boy did she turn bright pink.
