I tend to write longer stuff these days. Even when I plan on something short, or a "stroke" story it doesn't usually come out that way, or there is a lot of story before you get to the stroke part. I want to know WHY a character does something, especially if it's something outrageous. When a writer describes their female lead as conservative and then has her blowing a guy who's not her husband half a page later it's silly and pulls me right out of the story.

I like first person when it's done well. I'm not trying to project myself into the story so it doesn't bother me if it's a first person female story. I like reading what she's thinking. or reading what is going through a husband's head during a swinging experience.

So, girlie, when are you going to write that story for the rest of us to enjoy?

So are you simply making a statement, expressing your frustration, indicating that you would prefer to have the author either provide some build up, or subsequent explanation for those actions? I suspect that is why you find yourself writing more story before the sex, than you used too.

Or are you actually looking for a plausible explanation?

Well, "plausible" is relative in most erotic stories. I'm willing to suspend my disbelief if the writer makes some stab at explaining a character's actions. And what I described is what I prefer to read and it is generally what I write. There usually is some story wrapped around my sex scenes, even if the story is far fetched.
